At our 12/4 meeting we learned about new things going on with the Dallas County Conservation Department. Curt Cabel, Director, gave us an update on the bike trail,, including next year's plans to rehab the trail between Adel and Ortonville. That section will need to be closed for part of the summer. Exact closure dates aren't available, but likely until mid-summer. After this is completed, plans are to hold off on further rehab for a couple of years so the trail will be fully open for users to enjoy.
Curt also provided updates on various conservation facilities and parks. If you haven't enjoyed what Dallas County has to offer, you're missing some great opportunities.
