At this week's meeting, we were delighted to hear from Shannon Lee with the Heaven Sent Home birthing Center in Adel. They are the 1st and so far, the only home birthing center in Iowa made possible by a change in Iowa law. They are actively serving clients while they are remodeling an older home they purchased in Adel. Shannon also thanked our club for serving as a sponsor for their application to the Dallas County Community Foundation, which allowed them to purchase equipment to do hearing testing on newborns.
